Baked Salmon with Asparagus and Lemon Herb Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the salmon fillets and trimmed asparagus on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and asparagus, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Arrange lemon slices over the salmon fillets.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, and chopped dill.
  6. Spoon the herb butter mixture evenly over the salmon and asparagus.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
